The Chiengmai Cup 2018 came to a close on Sunday April 29th with RSC1 (Elvinn Keo and Marcus Phua) match up against PCC (Vivian Rhamanan and Al Aspen). It was a tough match but eventually the power and teamwork of RSC1 over came PCC 2-0, making this Elvinn and Marcus’ third Chiengmai Cup victory back to back.
In the Plate’s final there was Angry Birds 3 (Romero Yap and Alex Wan) match up against a very young and talented RSC 4 (Ian Gan Jian Rong and Justin Ho). The speed and accuracy of Angry Birds were too much for the young and less experience RSC 4, winning 2-0. A great welcome back bonus for Alex Wan who has just returned to this tournament after being absent for a few years. Well done boys. As for RSC 4 we will keep our eyes out for these two boys with great expectations.
Once again the team at RBSC Sports Club did an amazing job in organising and keeping this great competition going. 2018 marks one of the largest draw the competition has had with 48 teams coming in from 5 countries. Look forward to 2019!
